Our curriculum starts in Early Years where the children learn how to hold pencils, brushes and a variety of materials . Moving progressively through the year groups to Year 6, the children continually revisit and improve their painting, drawing and sculpting skills (which are taught every year).

 

Our children also explore and develop additional skills which we have considered and chosen (such as textiles which we chose due to our location within the Derwent Valley).

 

Staff use the teaching materials from Kapow to ensure our learning is appropriate and challenging for all.
