Volunteers from Darley Dale in Bloom visited the school on Friday to plant sunflowers with the children.
Everyone planted a dwarf sunflower seed and we will keep these in school for the next few weeks and watch them grow. They will be sent home before the Summer holidays so they can be looked after or planted out during the break.
Darley Dale in Bloom are also running an 'unusual container planting competition', which will be judged at our Summer Fair on 11th July, so now is the time to find some unusual old objects and get them planted up.
