  • Summer fair raises over £1000

    Mon 22 Jul 2024

The Darley Churchtown PTA has raised £1,350 to support the school through the Summer Fair, which took place on Saturday.

Children and families enjoyed taking part in a range of traditional summer fair activities and games, the raffle was as popular as ever and we even had a visit from the Matlock Town FC gladiator mascot. Thanks to everyone who came along and to the local businesses and other organisations that donated prizes.

The money raised will be used to buy new playground equipment for the children and to contribute towards the cost of some trips next year.

A huge well done to our super star Year 6 children! All children in their recent SATs tests scored expected or above in all subjects: maths, grammer and spelling and finally reading! An amazing and well deserved result for you all. We are very proud of you all!

  • Sun Shines on Sports Day Stars

    Fri 05 Jul 2024

The sun shone for our annual sports day and the children had a great time taking part in the usual selection of races. Toddlers, ex-pupils and parents also got involved in the action with their own races at the end. The children competed in house teams but everyone got a well-deserved ice pop prize at the end.
